Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age structures, and even Roman-era buildings have been rediscovered in areas where water levels dropped. For instance, the outline of an ornate 17th-century garden became visible once again after being previously revealed during dry weather events.
In urban areas like London, parks remain a crucial green space despite the current drought conditions. The Royal Borough of Greenwich is hoping for normal rainfall to restore its parched green spaces. Councillor Adel Khaireh highlighted the support from local volunteers and community groups who help water trees and plants across the borough.
