Meyers’ Late Night Critique of Trump

The host discussed a post where Trump thanked Rudy Giuliani’s son for organizing the World Cup in the United States. 'It was already the biggest sporting event in the world,' Meyers pointed out sarcastically, 'so it’s not like he sold 7 million pickleball tickets.'
Meyers also made light of a photo opportunity where Trump met with Little League softball champions at the White House, remarking, 'Wow, still chasing that World Cup final high, huh?'
The host turned his attention to a post by Trump criticizing Canada for failing to prevent wildfires, saying, 'So he didn’t write that post.' This followed a claim by the US president that the cost of dealing with such fires was incalculable.
Meyers also teased Trump's wish to play soccer alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. He joked, 'Or longer,' referencing his wife's response and adding, 'Watching Ronaldo run full-speed up and down a soccer pitch and you’re like, ‘That guy doesn’t work as hard as President Trump.’'
